After many long years AFNOM’s very own Capture the Flag competition is returning, bigger and better than ever!

We know you have plenty of questions so lets start with some of the easy ones:

When is WTCTF26?:

• Saturday 21st Feb 2026 @ 09:00-18:00

Where is WTCTF26?:

• UG04 in the Computer Science Building

What is WTCTF26?!:

• WhatTheCTF is a Capture the Flag competition run by AFNOM
• It is a hacking competition where teams can compete to solve cyber-security challenges of various categories and difficulties to earn points
• There are many categories available including web, forensics, IRL, cryptography, reverse engineering, pwn, and many more
• A range of difficulties means that everyone from beginners to seasoned CTF players can take part and have fun!

Who do I compete with?

• WTCTF26 is a team based competition so you can hack with your friends!
• Team sizes are min 1 - max 5 people
• Don’t worry if you don’t have a team yet, hop on #wtctf-find-a-team on our discord and drop a message!
• There will also be time designated in the morning to help get everyone sorted out and set up with teams if needed
